Back to Back Theatre Workshops

Off the back of his ongoing relationship with Back to Back Theatre, Chris was invited to design and deliver two new creative workshops for community members with and without disability as part of CAMP (Come And Make Performance).

2020 – The Theatre of Mark Deans

Chris collaborated with the iconic Mark Deans in his 30th year as a Back to Back ensemble actor to devise a theatrical experiment inspired by Mark’s performance style. Part workshop, part extended improvisation and part ritual, participants entered a space packed full of references to Mark’s career where they were playfully encouraged to discover their own penchant for imitation, upstaging and comedic timing.

2018 – Mission: Impossibility

Mission: Impossibility is a workshop about embracing failure and silliness to leave your own theatrical mark. Using his interest though incompetency in rapping as a starting point, Chris devised a series of fun yet impossible multimedia activities to show there’s no such thing as perfection, thus encouraging participants to embrace their own unique imperfection.
